I’ve been trying to write this post all morning, but my 10-month old nephew, Oliver, is visiting and he’s pretty insistent that the keyboard is supposed to be used as a drum set and not for typing.
We’re so thankful that Oliver has been blessed with a pretty easy childhood, but not every kid is so lucky…
I just learned that there are an estimated 12,000 new cases of Cerebral Palsy diagnosed each year. And it’s the most common physical disability in childhood! Absolutely heartbreaking.
If you’re not familiar, cerebral palsy is a life-long physical disability and it’s most often caused by brain injury during pregnancy. There are number of factors that can include…
- Exposure to Radiation or Infection
- Asphyxia Before Birth
- Hypoxia of the Brain
- Birth Trauma during Labor or Delivery
- Complications in the Perinatal Period or During Childbirth
Do You Know Anyone With Cerebral Palsy? They May Be Owed Money…
If you know anyone that’s had complications during childbirth, they may be entitled to compensation. We’ve found a free resource that can get them connected to a lawyer to review their case for free – Consumer Injury Assistance.
Have them fill out the form – it takes about 30 seconds, but it might make a huge impact on their well-being!
Help Us Find a Cure?
If you’re interested in helping us find a cure, head over to the Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation and make a small donation. I just chipped in $100. Can you help out with just a few bucks?
Can’t make a donation? Totally understandable. Can you help with a share? (Click to Share This Post on Facebook)
Thanks so much for your help in raising awareness about Cerebral Palsy!
