About Kyle Taylor
Kyle Taylor is the founder of The Penny Hoarder.
As a child, Kyle played with cash registers and tried to convince his family members to invest in the make-believe banks he ran out of the living room. (What -- don’t most kids do this?)
At 15 years old, he started clipping coupons to help his family pay for groceries. From there, Kyle searched for nontraditional methods of saving and earning money to help pay for rising tuition bills, car payments and rent -- all while never having to answer to a boss.
After much encouragement from friends and family, Kyle decided to start blogging about his wacky and weird ways to make extra money. In 2010, The Penny Hoarder was born.
Today, The Penny Hoarder operates out of downtown St. Petersburg, FL. With his team of 40, Kyle continues his mission to put more money in his readers’ pockets.
The Penny Hoarder Ranks No. 32 on the 2016 List with a Three-Year Growth of 6,934%
Taylor Media, which runs personal finance blog The Penny Hoarder, today released growth figures from 2015 that show it’s one of the fastest-growing digital media companies.
After operating remotely for five years, Taylor Media, which owns and operates the popular personal finance blog The Penny Hoarder, has opened an office in downtown St. Petersburg on the 600 block of Central Avenue.
Taylor Media will bring in-house the founder of Socialexis, Alexis Grant, to oversee its growing editorial team as Executive Editor in an effort to support Taylor Media’s goals to continue to grow The Penny Hoarder.
