Working at home is the jam. Not only do work-from-home jobs sometimes let you set your own schedule, but you get to skip tedious tasks like scraping ice off your car at the crack of dawn, getting stuck in rush-hour traffic and making small talk with your coworkers.
And doesn’t wearing sweatpants all day sound cozy?
Since working from home is a goal for a lot of our readers, we’ve rounded up 13 awesome work-at-home jobs just for Utah residents.
We’ve included a variety of full-time jobs as well as side gigs on this list. Even better? Only two of them require a college degree.

1. This Company Will Pay You For Your Thoughts On Donald Trump
What do you think of Donald Trump? Are you going to vote in the 2016 election? Do you think Hillary Clinton lied about Benghazi?
If you’re a political nerd — or even if you’re not — you can make extra money by registering for Ipsos Panel, which is one of the country’s biggest polling companies.
The polls are pretty fun and I can usually earn about $50/month with them.
2. Sew Some Magic as a Seamstress
Talk about the perfect side gig for sewers!
We found two work-at-home seamstress jobs located in Utah — both of them involve creating simple items for small designers.
3. Surf the Internet
I love this one, because you just set it and forget it.
It’s not a lot of money, but I usually earn about $100-$200/ year in passive income doing this. Easy work though — can’t complain.
4. Watch YouTube-Like Videos
This works because the videos are sponsored by brands who need to get it in front of as many eyeballs as possible. Every time you watch one of their ads, they’ll credit your account with cash.
Here’s a link to signup. They give you $5 just for signing up.
5. Get Paid to Download Apps
Lots of companies, including Google, will pay you to install their apps on your cell phone. And there’s more: They’ll also pay you for every month you keep those apps installed.
Why? Because the apps collect data from your cell phone, which companies use to better understand web and mobile usage — gathering information such as what times of day people browse, how long they stay on websites and use apps, and what types of sites and apps are popular (or not).
Here are a few of our favorite companies that will pay you to download their apps:
– Smart Panel – Once you’ve qualified and downloaded the app, they will give you $5. If you keep it installed for at least two weeks, you’ll earn another $10. And then for every month that you keep the Smart App installed, you’ll get another $5. All total, you can earn up to $75 for the 1st year!
– Media Insiders Panel – If you’re male or 44 years of age or older, this company will pay you $5 a month to keep their app on your phone. Plus, you can install it on up to 3 devices, making your total possible earnings up to $200 a year.
– Nielsen Mobile for iPhone Users – if you have an iPhone, this Nielsen panel will pay you $50/year to keep this app on your cell phone.
– Nielsen Mobile Panel for Ages 45+ – if you have a smartphone and your 45 years of age or older, this Nielsen panel will pay you $50/year to keep this app on your cell phone.

If you want a work-at-home job that doesn’t require sales experience or a college degree, transcription might be a good fit. This gig requires listening to audio files and typing out what you hear; you can work as little or as much as you want.
Though the work can be repetitive (think: listening to the same audio files over and over), it pays well and offers a ton of flexibility.
