Sharebuilder: $75 FREE with a $100 Deposit
Sharebuilder is currently running an after-Christmas promotion where they will give you a free $75 if you open a new account and deposit $100 before December 31, 2011. Use the promotion code EXTRA75 when you apply.
The standard bonus offered from ShareBuilder is $50 (with restrictions) but this new bonus has absolutely no rules or trade requirements of any-kind, making it one of the most lucrative I’ve ever seen. The bonus is paid out within 4-6 weeks and you can withdraw your original $100 after 120 days.
You don’t need to buy anything and you don’t even need to make a trade. Unfortuatley I’m already a member so I can’t get another bonus, but it might be worth it to sign up the wife/husband, kids, etc. Just make sure it’s a new account or the promo code will be rejected.
Oh, one more thing. Sharebuilder did not pull a credit report when I signed up. It’s common for banks to pull a soft credit report to verify contact information, but it doesn’t look like they even did that. Not that it would matter though, “soft pulls” don’t affect your credit score like their cousins “hard pulls.”
Here’s the fine print from Sharebuilder:
You must open a new ShareBuilder account and deposit $100 or more to be eligible for this promotion. Initial deposit must be completed by 12/31/11. ING DIRECT Investing will deposit a $75 bonus approximately 4-6 weeks after your first $100 deposit. The $75 bonus offer is available for Individual, Joint and Custodial accounts only. Offer not valid for IRAs or ESAs. The $75 bonus is not available for withdrawal for 120 days after it is awarded to your account. This offer is not valid with any other offers and is non-transferrable. Limit one ShareBuilder account bonus per unique customer or custodial beneficiary. We reserve the right to terminate this offer at any time and to refuse or recover any promotion award if we determine that it was obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided in opening the account, or that any terms of our Account Agreement have been violated. Offer expires 12/31/11.
