Michelob Ultra Will Pay Someone $50K to Hike, Snap Photos and Drink Beer

Premium light-beer brand Michelob Ultra is searching for the perfect adventurer to become the company’s first-ever “Chief Exploration Officer.” The six-month position pays $50,000.
“As Chief Exploration Officer, you’ll get an office with the best view, and get to travel for work… a lot,” the job listing states. “You’ll be tasked with capturing content while touring the country, visiting national parks and repping Michelob.”
By “office,” the company means a decked-out RV or van with a shower and bathroom, which you’ll be using to travel the country for six months. The company will cover gas and expenses, on top of the salary. The listing states that someone else can join you for the ride, including a friend, partner or pet.
To become Michelob Ultra’s Chief Exploration Officer, apply by Sept. 30.
Michelob partnered with the National Park Foundation and set an itinerary for the excursion. Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, Big Bend and Saguaro national parks made the cut, though those locations are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Keep in mind: This isn’t a get-drunk-in-the-woods type gig. As the Chief Exploration Officer, you’ll need to follow coronavirus travel and recreational guidelines from the CDC and recreational ones from the National Park Service throughout your trek.

Other qualifiers include:
- Being at least 21 (obviously).
- Having a valid U.S. driver’s license (no commercial license required).
- Possessing solid photography and/or videography skills.
Beyond that, you should have an undying passion for nature and the outdoors.
