201 Military Discounts for Active Duty, Retirees and More

There is no concrete way for American civilians to offer proper thanks to the servicemen and women who put their lives on the line to protect the interests of the country they serve. 

Still, many stores and consumer brands try their best to show gratitude by offering discounts to service personnel whenever they make purchases. There are hundreds of places that have military discounts, and we made an extensive list of them.

Who Gets Military Discounts?

Discounts are routinely offered to active duty, National Guard or Reserve and military dependents, who may be asked to show a Department of Defense dependent identification card. Discounts also are typically extended to veterans and DOD retirees.

There are discounts offered specifically to members of veteran benefit groups such as WeSalute+, USAA or Veterans of Foreign Wars. If you are a service member but are not aligned with any of those groups, you might want to investigate the services and advantages they offer to see if it’s worth it to join.

Memorial Day weekend and Veterans Day are times when many entertainment and restaurant venues offer special discounts as well.

Many of these retailers offer their discounts through accounts in ID.me or SheerID, which are independent verification services that offer free registration. Note: discounts were sourced in October 2026.

No matter where you’re eating, it doesn’t hurt to ask if there’s a military discount. Even if the chain as whole doesn’t have a military discount policy, the local franchise owner may provide one.

1 . A&W

The company website notes A&W has honored service personnel since 1919. With military ID, active or inactive personnel receive a discount year-round (varying in amount by location) at A&W restaurants.

2. Applebee’s

Applebee’s offers a family atmosphere and a percentage discount off meals for military personnel, though this discount varies by location. They also usually give service members a free meal on Veterans Day.

3. Arby’s

Based on location, active and inactive military personnel receive a percentage-off discount with military ID at Arby’s locations. Some locations limit this to Veterans Day, while others offer it year round.

4. Ben & Jerry’s

The military discount at Ben & Jerry’s varies by location but ranges between 10 and 15%. Some scoop shops offer a free 2-scoop on Veterans Day, too.

5. Bennigan’s

Active military and veterans usually receive 10 to 25% off the total check at Bennigan’s, but this can vary by location.

6. Bob Evans

Bob Evans restaurants offer veterans and active duty military members with ID a free meal on Veterans Day.

7. Bonefish Grill

Seafood lovers who are also armed forces personnel, veterans or first responders get 10% off their check every day at Bonefish Grill.

8. Boston Market

A discount varying from 10 to 25% depending on location is offered to anyone with a military ID at participating Boston Market restaurants.

9. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. offers a 10% discount to those who have served on Veterans Day. One servicemember’s discount can be applied to a party of up to four.

10. Buffalo Wild Wings

Based on location, BWW offers a 10% discount to military personnel with ID and a free basket of wings and fries on Veterans Day.

11. Burger King

Some Burger King locations offer 10% off all food and drink items to military personnel with valid military ID.

12. Carl’s Jr. (Hardee’s)

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s offer a 10% to 20% military discount year round at participating locations.

13. Carrabas

Carrabas offers a 10% discount to active duty and non-active duty military with ID. This discount is available at any time of year and is also available to military family members.

14. Chevys Fresh Mex

At certain locations, Chevys Fresh Mex offers 20% off meals for military personnel. It has historically offered some type of free meal on Veterans Day, too.

15. Chick-fil-A

Some Chick-fil-A locations offer a 10 to 50% discount to active duty and retired military personnel. Tie your Chick-fil-A One account to your military service through ID.me, and you’re more likely to receive push offers related to your service when they are available.

16. Chili’s

Chili’s offers a free meal from a limited menu to veterans and active duty military personnel on Veterans Day. Some locations may offer a daily 10% military discount with a valid military ID.

17. Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese offers military discount deals through its Alpha and Bravo deal packages. A military ID is required, and customers can request a coupon code online or in person. These deals are also available for military and veteran family members.

18. Cici’s Pizza

Cici’s Pizza does offer military discounts depending on location, but all locations offer a free buffet on Veterans Day. Check locations for details.

19. Cinnabon

Select Cinnabon locations offer a 10 to 15% discount on bakery items for military members and veterans. At some locations, this discount is available year-round, while at others it is only available as a part of a Veterans Day promotion.

20. Dairy Queen

Depending on location, Dairy Queen offers 10 to 50% off of an order, as well as a free Blizzard on Veterans Day.

21. Dave & Buster’s

Dave & Buster’s offers a 15% military and veteran discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages with a valid ID.

22. Denny’s

Some Denny’s locations offer a military discount of 10%, and most locations provide a free grand slam during the morning hours on Veterans Day.

23. Dunkin’

A military identification card is required to get the 10% discount on food and drink at some individual Dunkin’ locations. There is no nationwide discount. However, all locations offer a free donut to veterans and active-duty personnel on Veterans Day.

24. El Pollo Loco

El Pollo Loco offers a 15% discount to all military and first-responder personnel, but the discount is limited to $1.50.

25. Famous Dave’s BBQ

Some Famous Dave’s locations offer  a military discount of 15% on select days throughout the year, and on Veterans Day, the entire chain offers a specific menu item free (in 2025, it was a free chopped pork sandwich with your side of choice).

26. Fuddruckers

Active duty and retired military are offered a discount, varying by location, with a valid ID at Fuddruckers. Some locations also offer a free meal for Veterans Day.

27. Golden Corral

Depending on location, the military discount at Golden Corral is 10 to 15% throughout the year. All locations hold a Military Appreciation Night on Veterans Day, where anyone who has ever served in the U.S. military gets a free buffet dinner from 4 p.m. on.

28. Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe offers a 15% discount on all food and non-alcoholic drink items. Veterans also get an automatic upgrade to Legend status at Hard Rock casinos and hotels.

29. Hooters

Hooters offers a 10% discount to military personnel daily and a 20% discount on Tuesdays. The chain also offers a free entree to service members on Veterans Day.

30. IHOP

IHOP offers free pancakes to military personnel on Veterans Day. During the year, some IHOP locations offer a 20% discount to military personnel, although that is up to the owner’s discretion.

31. Longhorn Steakhouse

Longhorn offers a 10% discount on the entire meal to military personnel year-round and a free appetizer or dessert on Veterans Day.

32. Noodles & Company

Noodles & Company offers a 15% discount to all service personnel with a valid service ID. Plus, their employees who are veterans get a paid day off on November 11.

33. Omaha Steaks

A $10 discount on purchases of $79 or more is available to active duty military members and veterans, as well as spouses, at Omaha Steaks.

 

34. Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse offers a free Bloomin’ Onion and your choice of a Coca-Cola product or 16 oz. draft beer to active duty service members and veterans on November 10 and 11, 2026. 

Plus, if you have Dine Rewards during your visit on these two days, you’ll earn a “Hero’s Meal”, redeemable between November 16, 2206 and May 2, 2027. Some locations may offer a 10% military discount throughout the year.

35. Panda Express

Some  Panda Express locations may offer a 5 to 15% military discount.

36. Pizza Hut

Some Pizza Hut locations offer a military discount, but the amount of the discount may vary. It’s typically not able to be stacked with other coupons or deals.

37. Popeye’s

Popeye’s military discounts vary by location, but when they’re offered, they’re typically somewhere between 10 and 20% off.

38. Red Lobster

Veterans and active-duty military get 10% off their individual order, excluding alcohol, at participating Red Lobster locations with proof of service. At some locations this may be everyday, while at others you’ll have to wait for a specific day of the week, like ‘Military Mondays.’ Typically, there is also a Veteran’s Day offer at participating locations. In 2025, it was free shrimp and chips.

39. Red Robin

As part of its regular loyalty program, Red Robin offers special package deals to military personnel who indicate their affiliation at sign up. It also offers a free Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day.

40. Schlotzsky’s

Eligible service members receive a 10% discount, but it depends on each Schlotzsky’s location. Some locations offer greater discounts, up to 30%.

41. Skyline Chili

Skyline offers a 10% discount to military personnel at some locations. You can call ahead or ask at the store to see if a discount is offered. Skyline often has specials on Veterans Day, as well.

42. Texas de Brazil

A 10% discount is offered to armed forces personnel, EMS and teachers at Texas de Brazil. In the past, they have also offered discounts of 15 to 20% off for the weeks of Veterans and Memorial Day, which could be applied to a table of four.

43. Texas Roadhouse

Some Texas Roadhouse locations offer a 10% discount to military personnel. If you visit between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Veterans Day with proof of service, you can get a free meal voucher, redeemable between November 11, 2026 and May 31, 2027.

44. Wendy’s

Wendy’s offers discounts to members of WeSalute through a custom WendyMail savings program. Some Wendy’s locations may also offer you a free breakfast item on Veterans Day.

45. Zaxby’s

Some Zaxby’s locations offer a 10% discount with valid ID to military personnel. It also offers a free item from the menu on Veterans Day.

Movie Theaters

Active duty, retired and veteran service members with families will appreciate the discounts offered by the largest theater chains in the country.

46. AMC Theaters

Participating AMC Theatres offer discount tickets to military personnel with ID. 

47. Cinemark

The discount for active military, active reserves, veterans and military dependents at Cinemark varies by location, but most theaters offer savings on ticket prices.

48. Marcus Theatres

Marcus Theatres offers movie tickets at $8.50 at any time for armed forces personnel. There are also sometimes free popcorn promotions for Memorial Day weekend.

49. Regal Entertainment Group

Regal Cinemas offers discounts to active duty military personnel and veterans. Discounts vary by location.

50. Showcase Cinemas

All active duty armed forces members and their dependents can get discounted tickets at Showcase Cinemas. An active service ID is required. Active and retired military personnel and their guests receive discounted tickets on Veterans Day. See discount prices here.

Theme/Amusement Parks

Military discounts at theme and amusement parks help lower the cost of admission.

51. Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens offers free admission to armed forces personnel and up to three family members at its main park in Williamsburg. The Tampa Bay location has a military discount of 50% off for up to six tickets. At Tampa Bay, veterans can also qualify for discounted season passes and other perks. 

You access these discounts through the ID.me website. 

52. Disney Land

Veterans and active duty military members can purchase discounted tickets to Disney Land for their family. All tickets must be accompanied by a park reservation for the same dates.

53. Disney World

Disney World offers special package prices to military personnel, and there are greater discounts for personnel living in the same state as the theme park. All tickets require advanced park reservation, and tickets can be used through December 18, 2026 with blackout dates the week of Thanksgiving.

• California: Military members get a discount, determined by the current gate price.

Military members and families also can get reduced rates at LEGOLAND resort hotels:

55. Sea World

Active duty military members, drilling or active reservists and members of the National Guard get into Sea World for free. They can bring up to three guests (who will also get in free.)

56. Sesame Place

Perfect for young families, Sesame Place in Philadelphia also offers free admission to military personnel and up to three guests.

57. Six Flags

Six Flags offers a discount on general admission tickets to active duty and retired service members with valid ID. The exact military ticket pricing varies by location.

58. Universal Studios

Universal Studios provides discounted military tickets. The exact eligibility requirements and discount amounts vary depending on whether you are visiting the California or Orlando location.

Miscellaneous Entertainment

These discounts are given to active duty military and veterans from various places.

59. Ford’s Theatre

Ford’s Theatre, the famed location where President Abraham Lincoln was shot, offers active duty military and veterans up to 50% off select tour tickets with a valid military ID.

60. Major League Baseball

All Major League Baseball teams offer discounts to service members, but the discounts differ between clubs. Every team also hosts specials for military personnel and veterans.

61. Georgia Aquarium

On select days throughout the year, current and former U.S. military members can get free admission to the Georgia Aquarium. Family members can join them for 30% off.

62. San Diego Zoo

The world-famous San Diego Zoo offers free admission to active duty military personnel. Spouses and immediate dependents can receive a 10% discount and do not need the military member with them as long as they have proper identification.

63. SiriusXM Radio

SiriusXM Radio offers a 25% military discount on subscription prices to active duty, reserve, veteran and retired military members. Their spouses and dependents can claim the deal, too.

64. U.S. National Parks

Current members of the U.S. military and their dependents can get a free Military Annual Pass to National Parks. 

Gold Star Families and U.S. military veterans are eligible to receive a free Military Lifetime Pass to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas, including national parks, wildlife refuges and forests.

65. The Wilds

The Wilds Animal Park in Cumberland, which is just outside of Columbus, Ohio, offers a free one-day safari to active military members by appointment. Other family members will need to pay admission.

Air Travel

Here are some discounts offered by airlines.

66. Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines offers several military discounts: 

• Discounted rates for veterans, active duty military members on official excused absence and family members in select markets when booked directly with the airline.
• 5% off all flights when booked through WeSalute+.
• Discounted Alaska Lounge Day Passes for active duty military members.
• Pet shipping discount for active duty military members and their family moving on PCS orders.

67. Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air offers discounts on air travel expenses to U.S. active and reserve duty armed forces, veterans and spouses and dependents travelling on the same itinerary. Discounts include up to two pieces of checked baggage free of charge with no oversized baggage fee, and free service for one pet in cabin.

68. JetBlue

JetBlue offers a 5% discount on air travel directly booked through the airline to active duty or active duty family members on the same itinerary. Plus, you’ll get two free checked bags. 

If you’re a veteran, you and your family members can get the same deal, but only through WeSalute+.

69. Lufthansa

The WeSalute+ 5% off Lufthansa flights military discount also applies to these subsidiary airlines: 

• Austrian Airlines
• Swiss International Airlines
• Brussels Airlines.

70. Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines offers military discounts to active duty military members and their families, but requires travelers to contact them at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA to determine the discounts available.

71. United Airlines

United Airlines offers a 5% military personnel discount to active duty and veteran military members on flights entirely operated by United or United Plus.

Hotels

Here are some discounts offered by some of the nation’s largest hotel chains that have accommodations in hundreds of cities around the world.

72. Best Western

Best Western offers an extensive list of discounts on room rates to veterans, active duty military members and civilian military service members.

73. Choice

The Choice Privileges Rewards program gives active-duty military members, veterans and their families limited-time Gold Elite status along with discounts at participating hotels.  

74. Hilton

Brands under the Hilton umbrella offer discounted rates for active duty military members, veterans and their family members. 

75. Hyatt

U.S. veterans, active duty armed forces members and their immediate accompanying family members are offered 10 to15% off the standard room rate at participating Hyatt Hotels.

76. Intercontinental Hotel Groups

A valid military ID will be required when you check in under a military discount rate from Intercontinental Hotel Groups, which includes Holiday Inn and Candlewood Suites locations. The military discount rate is determined by the individual hotel management .

77. LaQuinta Inns & Suites

Save 12% on accommodations at LaQuinta Inns & Suites with military identification. Discounts are offered to active military, veterans and family members.

78. Red Roof Inn

A 10% room rate reduction is available at Red Roof Inn for active-duty military members and veterans.

79. Marriott

Marriott Hotels offers discounted rates to military personnel depending on availability.

80. Sandals Resorts

A 10% discount on one room is available for all Sandals Resorts reservations for active duty service members and veterans.

81. Wyndham

Wyndham Hotels offers 15% off bookings for military members. When you denote your military status in your Wyndham Rewards account, you’ll automatically be upgraded to Gold Status.

Car Rental

Here are some discounts offered by car rental companies that are helpful for business or leisure travel.

82. Avis

Through WeSalute+, Avis offers up to 35% off base rates to U.S. armed forces veterans, active duty personnel, National Guard and Reservists and military spouses.

83. Budget

With a WeSalute+ membership, active duty armed forces service members, reservists, veterans and immediate family members can enjoy up to 35% off on Budget car rental rates.

84. Enterprise

A 5% discount is offered to active duty personnel, armed forces veterans, and National Guard reservists through Enterprise Rent-A-Car. 

85. Hertz

Hertz offers a military car rental discount to active-duty service members, National Guard, reservists, some veterans and military spouses.

Miscellaneous Travel

Here are some discounts offered by various travel companies.

86. Cheap Caribbean

Sign up for Waves4Warriors and receive $150 off your next vacation booked through Cheap Caribbean. This discount is available to active-duty military members, veterans and military families.

87. Ikon Pass

Active duty and retired military and their adult dependents can receive discounts on all Ikon Pass products.

88. Vail Resorts

The Epic Military Pass from Vail Resorts offers unlimited, unrestricted access to 40 resorts for $230 for active and retired military and their dependents. Veterans and their dependents can purchase an Epic Military Pass for $659. But hurry, as prices will go up by mid November 2026.

89. Amtrak

Amtrak offers a 10% military discount to active-duty military service members and their families and offers them first-serve status in ticket lines. Some restrictions apply.

90. American Airlines

If you are a WeSalute+ member, you can get 10% off the land portion of American Airlines vacation packages.

91. Delta Vacations

Delta Vacations offers hundreds of dollars off packages to armed forces personnel. A military email address is required for booking.

92. Greyhound

Service members and family members get 10% discounts on select Greyhound tickets purchased through the WeSalute+ program.

Cruise Lines

Here are some military discounts for cruise lines.

93. Carnival

Carnival Cruise Lines offers discounts on cruises to U.S. Military members and veterans. You can get up to 40% off cruise rates and up to $50 in onboard credit for up to three rooms.

94. Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line offers a 10 to 20% discount to active-duty military members, veterans and their families on select cruises. The best part? This is one military discount that is actually stackable with other deals and promos.

95. Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises offers up to $250 in onboard spending money for active military members and veterans.

96. Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean offers discounted staterooms to military personnel on specific cruises.

Banking

Military discounts extend to interest rates on bank loans and credit cards. Many banking institutions offer restricted interest rates to active-duty service members because of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and the Military Lending Act (MLA).

97. America First Credit Union

America First Credit Union offers three benefits to military personnel at the time of writing: 

• $100 if you  open a credit card and spend at least $500 in 60 days, and keep the account open for at least 6 months.
• Initial deposit match of up to $50 on Dedicated Savings accounts. 
• $500 appraisal credit when you apply for a VA home loan.

98. American Express

American Express offers SCRA and MLA resources to assist military service members in finding out the benefits of the programs. Through these programs, interest is capped at 6% if you acquired your debt prior to service and 36% Military APR (MAPR) if you acquired your debt during active duty.

99. Capital One

Capital One offers a special web page of SCRA resources to assist military service members in finding out about all of the benefits of the program. In line with the SCRA, it caps its interest on debt at 4% for military members who acquired their debt prior to service.

100. Chase Bank

Chase waives the $25 monthly service fee and minimum balance requirement for its Chase Premier Plus Checking Account for current service members and veterans. Most other banking service fees are waived as well.

If you are active duty, reserve or National Guard, you also won’t have to pay fees on wire transfers (though veterans don’t qualify for this one.)

101. Citi

Citi offers a wide range of services for military personnel, including reduced interest rates under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA) for debt accrued by active-duty military members prior to their service.

102. Navy Federal Credit Union

Navy Federal Credit Union account holders pay no account fees, get free military checks and have early access to military pay with a qualifying military direct deposit.

103. U.S. Bank

Many consumer checking accounts from U.S. Bank are available to active duty military members and veterans with no monthly maintenance fee. 

U.S. Bank won’t charge military members ATM transaction fees for the first four non-U.S. transactions per statement cycle, and if you’re charged fees by the ATM owner, U.S. Bank will refund the fees for the first non-U.S. ATM transaction in the statement cycle.

Insurance

Several organizations, including USAA, specialize in insurance plans for military personnel and veterans.

104. GEICO

GEICO offers insurance rate cuts to active duty and retired members of the U.S. military and National Guard. It also offers an Emergency Deployment Discount when they deploy into imminent danger pay areas as designated by the Department of Defense.

105. Liberty Mutual

Liberty Mutual offers auto insurance rate cuts to active service members, veterans and reserve members, though the exact amount varies upon individual circumstances.

Hardware Stores

These hardware stores are ready to help military personnel with discounted products and services.

106. Home Depot

The Home Depot offers a 10% military discount on eligible purchases for active-duty service members, veterans and their spouses. If you shop through the military exchange, you can get your order tax-free, and delivery is free to APO/FPO addresses on many items.

107. Lowe’s

Lowe’s has a Military Discount Program that provides a 10% discount on full-priced items. It is available to active-duty service members, veterans and their spouses.

Apparel, Shoes and Accessories

Whether it is for the service member or for their family members, there are many discounts available at the best-known clothing and shoe retailers in the country.

108. Adidas

Adidas offers 30% off full-price items for active-duty military, veterans, spouses and dependents. You can use your military discount twice per month online, or once per month in-store.

109. Aeropostale

Aeropostale offers service members 15% off on many purchases.

110. American Eagle Outfitters

Some American Eagle locations offer a military discount, but the amount and availability vary, and it’s only applicable to in-store purchases.

111. ASICS

A military personnel discount of 30% is offered for all full-priced clothing and accessories in ASICS online and retail stores. It also offers 25% off full-priced footwear. The discount is available to active-duty military members and their dependents, and also to veterans and reservists.

112. Banana Republic

Banana Republic stores may offer a military discount depending on location.

113. Bass Pro Shops-Cabela’s

Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s offer a Legendary Salute discount of 10% in-store and online as well as 5% off firearms and ammunition.

114. Carhartt

A 15% discount on apparel and accessories is available to service members, first responders and nurses at Carhartt. A signup for ID.me is required.

115. Champion

Champion offers a 10% discount on eligible products to military personnel, including veterans.

116. Cole Haan

Cole Haan offers a 20% discount to military members, their spouses and their dependents.

117. Columbia

Through Veterans Day 2026, military members and first responders get 20% off their Columbia purchases. 

118. Converse

A 15% discount is available to military personnel (active or veteran) and family members at Converse stores.

119. Crocs

Select Crocs styles are available at a15% discount for military personnel.

120. Eddie Bauer

Through an ID.me account, military personnel can save 15% on Eddie Bauer apparel and accessories.

121. Goodwill

Some Goodwill locations offer discounts to military personnel, but the percentage of the discount is different based on location.

122. GameStop

GameStop offers a 10% discount on new products, including downloadable content.

123. Foot Locker
