November 2025 Class Action Settlements Involve UnitedHealthcare, Keurig and AT&T
Several settlements are accepting claims in November, allowing consumers to receive payments for privacy violations, false advertising and other legal violations.
$3.4M UnitedHealthcare out-of-network services class action settlement
UnitedHealthcare agreed to pay $3.4 million to resolve claims that it failed to pay enough for out-of-network claims.
The settlement benefits members of UnitedHealthcare of North Carolina who received out-of-network medical services between Jan. 1, 2016, and Dec. 31, 2021, and paid more than their copayment, coinsurance or deductible for these services.
According to the North Carolina Department of Insurance, UnitedHealthcare defrauded consumers by underpaying their out-of-network medical service claims. These policies allegedly forced policyholders to pay more out of pocket for their medical services than they should have.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 4, 2025.
Video game addiction class action investigation
Parents are filing lawsuits alleging that video game companies designed their games to be addictive, especially for children and teens. Features like in-game rewards and microtransactions may contribute to unhealthy levels of dependency, leading to sleep, school, and mental health issues for kids playing Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite and many other games. Families who believe their child developed a gaming addiction could be eligible to seek compensation.

Keto pills class action settlement (InstaKeto, Ultra Fast Keto Boost and Instant Keto)
Keto pill sellers agreed to pay a combined $200,000 to resolve claims that they falsely portrayed InstaKeto, Ultra Fast Keto Boost and Instant Keto products as effective solutions for weight loss.
The settlement benefits consumers who were billed for InstaKeto, Ultra Fast Keto Boost or Instant Keto products between Aug. 6, 2016, and June 18, 2025.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim that the keto pill sellers deceived them into believing that their products were effective weight-loss solutions. The sellers allegedly knew that their products were not as effective as claimed but continued to market them in misleading ways.
No claim form is required to benefit from the settlement.
$7.5M Forbes Facebook privacy class action settlement
Forbes agreed to a $7.5 million settlement to resolve claims that it shared subscriber information with Facebook without getting consent.
The settlement benefits Forbes online account holders, Forbes mobile application account holders and newsletter subscribers who have a Facebook account and who accessed a video through Forbes’ website between July 25, 2020, and Dec. 1, 2022.
According to the class action lawsuit, Forbes violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act by using a Facebook tracking pixel on its website, which shared user activity with Facebook. Plaintiffs claim that they never consented to having their information shared.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 4, 2025.
$2.5M Panera data breach class action settlement
Panera agreed to pay $2.5 million to resolve claims that it failed to protect consumers from a 2024 data breach.
The settlement benefits individuals who received a data breach notice from Panera informing them that their private information may have been compromised.
The Panera data breach reportedly compromised Social Security numbers and other sensitive information. According to plaintiffs in the case, Panera should have implemented reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect consumer information.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 11, 2025.
$950,000 Keurig coffee machine class action settlement
Keurig agreed to pay $950,000 to resolve allegations that machine defects cause K-Supreme coffee makers to lose power during descaling.
The settlement benefits purchasers of K-Supreme, K-Supreme Plus and K-Supreme SMART single-serve coffee makers between Oct. 1, 2020, and June 20, 2025, who lodged complaints about the coffee makers.
Consumers in the class action lawsuit claim that their Keurig coffee machines would lose power during descaling, causing them to be useless. According to the class action lawsuit, Keurig refused to replace the defective machines or compensate consumers with refunds.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 14, 2025.
$2.5M HexClad cookware class action settlement
HexClad agreed to a $2.5 million settlement to resolve claims that it falsely advertised its cookware as free of toxic chemicals.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased one or more eligible HexClad products between Feb. 1, 2022, and March 31, 2024.
HexClad allegedly advertised its products as free of toxic chemicals, including “forever chemicals” such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). Despite these claims, HexClad cookware allegedly contains both PFAS and PFOA.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 14, 2025.
$6.94M Canteen vending machine overcharge class action settlement
Canteen agreed to pay $6.94 million to resolve allegations that it charged consumers more than displayed on its vending machines when consumers paid by card.
The settlement benefits consumers who made a purchase from a Canteen vending machine between 2014 and July 9, 2025, paid with a debit, credit or prepaid card and were overcharged.
According to the class action lawsuit, Canteen charged consumers more than the listed price for items when they paid using a card. Plaintiffs in the case claim that they were never warned about the extra charge for using a card.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 14, 2025.
PFAS water contamination class action investigation
Settlements are being reached over toxic “forever chemicals” known as PFAS, which have contaminated U.S. water supplies. Lawsuits allege chemical companies failed to warn about serious health risks linked to PFAS exposure, including cancer and liver damage. Individuals who developed cancer after living in areas where PFAS were found in drinking water may qualify to seek compensation.
$177M AT&T data breach class action settlement
AT&T agreed to a $177 million settlement to resolve claims that it failed to prevent consumer data from two data breaches that occurred in March and July 2024.
The settlement benefits individuals whose personal information was compromised in the first or second AT&T data breaches announced on March 30, 2024, or on July 12, 2024, respectively.
The two data breaches reportedly compromised sensitive consumer data such as Social Security numbers, billing information, phone numbers and more. Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim that AT&T should have prevented the data breaches by implementing reasonable cybersecurity measures.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 18, 2025.
Volkswagen and Audi defective turbocharger class action settlement
Volkswagen agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve claims that it placed defective turbochargers in certain Volkswagen and Audi vehicles.
The settlement benefits current and former owners and lessees of certain Volkswagen and Audi vehicles equipped with a Generation 1, 2 or 3 EA888 engine.
According to the class action lawsuit, the defective turbochargers in Volkswagen and Audi vehicles suffered from corrosion in the wastegate and failed prematurely. Plaintiffs argue that Volkswagen refused to compensate them for the defective parts despite being aware of the problem.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Nov. 29, 2025.
Kaiser Permanente mental health reimbursement process
Kaiser Permanente members in California could receive payments from a reimbursement process overseen by the California Department of Managed Health Care.
Reimbursement is available for Kaiser Permanente members in California who were unable to access in-network mental health or substance use disorder care and paid out of pocket for out-of-network treatment on or after Jan. 1, 2021.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is within 180 days of receiving notice.
