Saturday Shoppers: We see you out there.

You’re being super productive — running around town, hitting all your hot spots and checking those errands off your to-do list.

You got this!

But just one thing? You might be wasting money.

There’s one store — that you’re probably already driving by along your Saturday route — that could save you hundreds of dollars if you pick up your brand-name faves off their shelves, instead.

And they’ll even throw in an extra discount just for coming in on Saturday.

Add Dollar General to Your Saturday Haul

You might be surprised to learn Dollar General stocks a ton of name-brand household items, pantry staples and toiletries.

All you have to do is download the Dollar General App and sign up for a DG Digital Coupons account. You’ll gain access to hundreds of dollars’ worth of coupons, which you click to add to your account. (I found $178 worth of deals at my local store, and my co-worker in D.C. found nearly twice that!)

Once you’re in the app, you can claim an extra $5 off $25 coupon, which you can use on Saturdays and renews each week. You can literally buy anything you want — as long as you spend $25 on Saturday and enter your phone number at checkout, you’ll get $5 off. Simple!

You can combine this with other coupons in the app, too. Need Huggies diapers? Tide laundry detergent? CoverGirl makeup? When we checked, they all had coupons.

To make sure this is worth switching up your Saturday routine, we did a quick comparison. When we checked, we found a 5-pack of Non-Drowsy Claritin for $7.99 at CVS. At Dollar General, we found the exact same box of allergy tablets for $5.50. Boom. We just saved $2.49.

Once you sign up and “clip” all your coupons in the app, just enter your phone number at checkout, and these deals will be automatically applied to your total.

You could literally save hundreds of dollars a month — just by switching up your Saturday routine!
