Thursday Is 7/11, and That Means It’s Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven

It’s so insanely hot outside, we could really go for a Slurpee right now.

Conveniently, it turns out Thursday is July 11 — 7/11 — which means it’s Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. And that means everyone gets a free Slurpee.

It’s true. Anyone who walks into a 7-Eleven, Stripes or Speedway store on Thursday can grab a small Slurpee at no charge. (All those places are owned by the same company.)

Even better: If you play your cards right, you can win free Slurpees for a year.

“Slurpee Day is our annual celebration of 7-Eleven’s birthday and our iconic frozen drink; it’s a day of joy, community and good old-fashioned summer fun,” said Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president and chief marketing & sustainability officer at 7-Eleven, Inc.

Take Advantage of Free Slurpee Day

Here’s the catch: To enter to win the free Slurpees for a year, they want you to join their rewards club and download their app.

(That’s what the whole promo is really about: Getting you into their rewards program and getting their app on your phone.)

But it’s not a bad deal. Signing up for 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards not only allows you to enter to win free sips and snacks for a year (and by making a qualifying purchase), you also can scan your rewards information on Slurpee Day and get a coupon for another free small Slurpee that you must redeem by the end of July.

Now the only question is, which free Slurpee should you get? You can’t go wrong with your classic flavors like cherry, Coca-Cola and blue raspberry.

And if you drink your Slurpee fast enough, you could get a brain freeze.

That should help cool you off in this heat.
