Healthline.com, a health information site, is looking for a seasoned copy editor to join its mission of providing authoritative health-related content.
The right person will work closely with editors across multiple projects and must have excellent communication skills to meet deadlines.
This temporary role is expected to run through May 2019.

Responsibilities include:
- Editing news, lifestyle, and clinical content for style, tone and flow.
- Correcting grammar, punctuation and formatting errors.
- Making sure content matches in-house style.
- Reviewing sources for quality and proper citation format.
- Communicating with editors and medical reviewers to ensure accuracy.
- Performing quality assurance checks on published content.
- Updating in-house style guide.
Applicants for this position must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or a related field.
- At least two years of copy editing experience.
- High editorial standards.
- An understanding of AP style and APA formatting.
- An eye for punctuation and grammatical mistakes.
- Strong skills in prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with track changes in Microsoft Word.
- Experience with a content management system.
- Basic knowledge of HTML.
