Ah, the calling. The calling of a pizza craving.

Pizza might seem like a cheap takeout option — it feeds a lot of people and seems to please everyone.

But it can add up quickly! Toppings, extras and side orders can take your spur-of-the-moment “Let’s order pizza!” idea into “Wait, I spent HOW much?” territory.

Lucky for you, I’m an expert on one particular pizza chain: Domino’s. My friends are amazed, both by the frequency of my orders, and the enormity of my savings.

It’s time to share my methods with you. If you love pizza as much as I do, you need to know about these Domino’s pizza deals.

1. Sign Up for Email From Domino’s

I need to warn you about this one.

Once you start getting emails from Domino’s, you’ll wonder if it’s watching you. If it knows you’re sitting at home on Friday night preparing to marathon “House Hunters International.” If it knows it’s 2:30 p.m. on Sunday and you have an insatiable pizza craving.

It will email you at your darkest, weakest moments.

But the deals it sends are totally worth it.

These near-daily emails are packed with promo codes. Cheesy Bread for $5.99? Yes, of course I’d like that $1 snipped off the regular menu price.

2. Join Piece of the Pie Rewards

Sign up for Domino’s free Piece of the Pie Rewards program, and for every $10-minimum order you place online, you’ll earn 10 points.

Work your way up to 60 points, and you’ll get to order your next medium, two-topping pizza for free. Then start the cycle again!

I don’t order delivery very often, but it only took me about five months to earn my free pizza — and a savings of about $12.

Points expire after six months of inactivity, so don’t forget to log into your account when you order online!

3. Place a Takeout Order

Domino’s used to offer a carryout special Monday through Thursday only, but this offer recently even got better — it’s available every single day. Place a takeout order for a large pizza with up to three toppings and pay just $7.99.

If you’re already going to drive past your local Domino’s on the way home, plan ahead and swing by to get your piping-hot order.

4. Always Check Domino’s Online Coupons

When you surf over to Dominos.com, don’t skip right to the menu. Stop at the “Coupons” tab first to see what’s on special in your area.

For example, because I’m here to serve you, pizza lovers: During my research, two large, two-topping pizzas would normally run you about $31. But with a coupon, those pizzas cost just $18.99.

5. Check the Mail

If you automatically throw out the wrinkled bundle of coupons that comes in the mail each week, stop! You could be throwing out Domino’s pizza coupons.

I only come across these coupons occasionally, but it’s worth a 10-second flip through the inserts to see if there are any discounts for delicious Domino’s.

6. Pay With a Discounted Gift Card

Save a few extra bucks by picking up a gift card on sites like Raise. Right now, gift cards are available for about 5% off face value, meaning I can grab a $20 gift card for $19.

It may not seem like a lot, but if you buy an e-gift card to save a dollar, then use it to pay for the awesome deal you got on the Domino’s website… it’s all going to add up.

So both your belly and your wallet will be happy.
