Awww…yeah! Who wouldn’t want $5 and a free large pizza?
One of the companies that pays me to conduct liquor audits is currently looking for folks to conduct a quick review of their local pizza shop. As part of the assignment you’ve got to time their delivery service and quality of pizza.
It’s pretty easy to do and you can do it several times a year.
Here’s how to get this gig…
1. Fill out an application and an Independent Contractor Agreement with Trendsource.net
2. Once you’ve been approved you can use the “Find Assignment” button to look for pizza shops to rate in your area. They are usually Papa John’s stores, but depending on your city, they could be anything. (Note: In order to accept the assignment, you’ve got to live in the delivery zone for that location)
3. The job entails calling your assigned location and ordering a pizza for delivery (check the purchase requirement for the specific type). You then have to evaluate the phone call for specific items, record specific speed of service items, and take 3 specific digital photos of your pizza and 1 photo/scan of your receipt.
4. After you turn in your report, Trendsource will pay you $5 + send you up to $20 reimbursement for the pizza. They pay pretty quickly too. Payments are processed on the 5th & the 20th of each month. I signed up for direct deposit and I usually have the money in my bank account the day after the payment is processed.
Good luck Penny Hoarders!

How do I audit beer???
Free pizza plus $5? Sounds like a great deal to me! I signed up.
I signed up too. This is a merchandising and mystery shopping company…so there might be many other opportunities to do other assignments for them within your area. I am an independant contractor for 5 other companies like this, its great part-time work that supplements my part-time cashier job at a craft store. With companies such as this you can pick and choose assignments that fit in your schedule and skill level. For example I just completed and assignment that involved setting up a display in RiteAid (10 stores) that paid $15 per store. It only took 30 minutes and was very easy. Most of the stores were located within a 15 mile radius of my home, with the closest being 1 mile. I combined visits within a particular area so fuel costs didnt eat up most of my wage. So out of the $150 my net will be about $120 or actually more as I combined one of the visits with shopping I would have had to do anyway.
Thanks for the heads up..I LOVE your site!!!
I used to do a lot of mystery shopping and still do a little. It seems they are now paying less than they used to. A pizza shop like that takes quite a bit of time and I don’t think $5 is enough compensation. I’d wait to the end of the month and see if they offer a bonus.
One thing that is cool about Trendsource is that they give you the option to ask for a bonus on each shop. I’ve never tried it on the pizza shops, but for the liquor shops I sometimes get $5-$25 bonus on top of the $6 shop fee….
Sign me up too. Sounds like a good excuse to get some pizza. Then if the food is tasty enough, get all your friends to sign up. I just hope this company deals with Canadians.
What are the tax repercussions of being an independent contractor though? I have always just been an employee and don’t want to do something to make money only to end up owing the IRS.
Sounds pretty awesome! I”m gonna ask my wife if she thinks this’ll be worth our while!
