Saturday Is 7/11, Free Slurpee Day at 7‑Eleven
It’s so insanely hot outside, we could really go for a Slurpee right now.
Conveniently, it turns out Saturday is July 11 — 7/11 — which means it’s Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. And that means everyone gets a free Slurpee.
It’s true. Anyone who walks into a 7-Eleven, Stripes or Speedway store on Saturday can grab a small Slurpee at no charge. (All those places are owned by the same company.)
This year, the Slurpee is celebrating its 60th birthday and 7-Eleven is celebrating its 99th birthday. And for a limited time, 7-Eleven is offering a new Slurpee flavor — Mountain Dew Confetti Chill.
“Inspired by birthday cake with a citrusy twist, the beverage blends bright citrus flavor with notes of sweet vanilla icing, giving fans a zesty lemon cake treat in frozen drink form,” a 7-Eleven press release reads. “Fans can enjoy the limited-time flavor in the commemorative 60th Anniversary Slurpee Day cups and top off the frozen beverage with pink, green and blue sugar crystals for an extra pop of color, sweetness and festive fun.”

Take Advantage of Free Slurpee Day
Anyone can walk into a 7-Eleven, Stripes or Speedway store and get their free Slurpee, but if you sign up for 7Rewards and/or Speedway, you can scan your rewards information on Slurpee Day and get a coupon for another free small Slurpee that you must redeem by the end of July.
This year, 7-Eleven is inviting customers to have a “Slurpee Date” at the convenience store.
“At participating locations, date-goers can cozy up on a charming Slurpee Date photo-op bench outside the store, pose for an on-site photographer and take home a commemorative keepsake from the moment,” a press release says. “To make the date even more shareable, attendees at these select locations will also receive limited-edition bedazzled Slurpee “S” double straws – inspired by the brand’s diamond anniversary – for a playful way to share the iconic frozen drink with someone special.”

Now the only question is, which free Slurpee should you get? You can’t go wrong with your classic flavors like cherry, Coca-Cola and blue raspberry. Or will you get to your nearest 7-Eleven early to snag the Mountain Dew Confetti Chill?
No matter the flavor you decide on, if you drink your Slurpee fast enough, you could get a brain freeze. That should help cool you off in this heat.
